licht.de unites the knowledge of about 130 member companies from the lighting sector. Experts and consumers shall be able to get impartial information about innovations on the lighting market and the advantage of good light in sectoral media and general press.

Solution
As full service agency rfw. kommunikation has been providing journalists for more than a decade with press releases and specialist articles about current lighting issues on a regular basis, supporting editors in their research and providing the adequate photo material. An example is the specialist article in the "Deutschen Bau Zeitschrift DBZ".

In 2013, for example, licht.de was present in more than 4,500 print publications, especially daily newspapers. Publications scored an overall circulation of about 80 million copies.

Challenge
Securiton GmbH is a leader in the production of electronic safety technology. In times when mechanic and electronic safety technology more and more converge with information technology, Securiton wants to be seen as a system integrator.

Solution
rfw. kommunikation realizes an exclusive article in the trade journal "Elektrobörse Smarthouse". It explains how Securiton integrates various systems into a holistic safety system which can be operated intuitively and protects prominent persons in their family environment. Press and media relations

Challenge
The company distributes natural cosmetics of the pharmacy-only series Sulfoderm. One main focus: sulphur based skin care. To strengthen the permanent perception of the product message, the topic shall be continuously present in general media.

Solution
In cooperation with a provider of media service rfw. kommunikation develops text templates which are offered to media nationwide – especially of the relevant groups like daily newspapers, advertising papers, consumer and pharmacy magazines. 2017/2018 this press service generated more than three million publications and an Equivalent Advertising Value of more than 17,000 Euro.

Exclusive article

Challenge
A technology developed by Merck makes printing in the RGB color space possible – this so far was considered impossible, because the RGB mode requires backlight. The noble futuristic appearance of the result is especially interesting for the packaging industry. This innovation shall be introduced to an expert audience as large as possible.

Solution
In an exclusive article for the specialist journal "creativ verpacken" rfw. kommunikation explains the unique approach of this new printing technique and the applied effect pigments from Merck. Pictures of the actual printing process illustrate the novelty to the reader. Professionals and in lighting interested readers shall find information on key topics of the lighting industry – precise, competent and impartial.

Solution
rfw. kommunikation regularly realizes special issues of the series of publication called "licht.wissen" – from concept to the printable publication. The issues of the publication series "licht.wissen" offer architects, planners and consumers vivid and clear explanations, lighting examples and practical advice regarding specific lighting issues. Heft 1 – "Lighting with Artificial Light" – is some kind of compendium with all the fundamentals of lighting technology. In its 21 titles, which have so far been published, "licht.wissen" pools the complete know-how of the sector. The publications have a circulation of up to 25,000 copies.

Challenge
The sector association CELMA unites more than 1,000 producers of lamps and lighting technology from all over Europe; ELC represents the interests of the European lamp industry. Both organizations inform in regular publications about topics around light and lighting. An important issue of CELMA and ELC is to sensitize decision makers in politics and economy for lighting. Meanwhile the two associations merged into the coalition LightingEurope.

Solution
rfw. kommunikation has composed and realized a brochure titled "The importance of lighting". It provides decision makers from politics and economy with a compact range of information on lighting. On 24 pages the advantages of good lighting in housing and office, municipalities and industrial enterprise are explained and illustrated. licht.de has been competent advisor in all questions of lighting for 40 years. About 130 companies of the lighting industry provide the branch initiative with the know-how of their lighting experts. Professionals and end consumers shall be able to find competent and unbiased information about good lighting in the internet.

On more than 5,000 pages www.licht.de pools knowledge around light, luminaires and lamps. The clear web portal offers experts, journalists and people interested in lighting plenty of information, planning assistance and tips. Architects, planner and electricians find standards, check lists or dynamic lighting applications and also a database with products and producers. End consumers, for example, learn how they can save energy or how European guidelines impact private households. More than half a million visitors and more than 14.4 million page views and more than 46,000 content downloads (specialist publications and videos amongst others) in 2016 make www.licht.de a solid parameter in the net.

rfw. kommunikation took over concept, editing and realization of the lighting portal www.licht.de as lead agency and continuously updates the content of the web pages.


Social media

Challenge
The use of social media network is becoming part of the daily routine for more and more people. As knowledge mediator licht.de wants to be active where the users are. Beyond a fresh and unconventional address of the user, another goal is to increase the traffic on licht.de and its reputation.

Solution
rfw. kommunikation realizes as lead agency concept, editing and implementation of the social media channels on Facebook as well as Twitter and continuously updates the content in German and English. 2018 the Twitter channels licht_de counted more than 1,700 and all_about_light about 2,000 followers. The Facebook page has more than 1,000 fans and records organic coverage of 2,100.


IT FOR WORK e. V., Darmstadt

Challenge
IT FOR WORK is a networker for the IT sector – members are small and medium sized IT companies as well as international market leaders. The innovation cluster which was co-initiated by the Darmstadt Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) has been supporting the transfer of knowledge and technology between IT companies, the user industry as well as research institutes since 2012 and is a competent consultant in all aspects of industry 4.0. IT FOR WORK is organizer of the conference on digitalization KonM 4.0.

Solution

Event series Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

Challenge
IHK Darmstadt (Chamber of industry and commerce Darmstadt) represents the economic interest of 70,000 member companies. Amongst its various strategic goals is the crosslinking of companies in the region. With its CRS series of events, IHK offers an inspiring platform with information about successful examples for corporate social responsibility, so that especially small and medium sized companies are able to develop their own projects.

rfw. kommunikation supports IHK in concept, organization and communication for regular CSR Breakfasts at local companies which present their social and ecological commitment as well as for lecture events and podium discussions about CSR. Furthermore rfw. designs a CSR map for the IHK website which showcases sustainable projects and portrays dedicated companies.

The result: The idea of CSR is well established in the region and the versatile involvement of the companies in the chamber district is visible. IHK member companies have a qualified forum for inspiration, information, exchange and networking to make the initially abstract CSR term perceptible in their enterprise.

60 leading German producers of electronic security systems join in the division Safety & Security in the ZVEI - Zentralverband Elektrotechnik- und Elektronikindustrie e. V. (central association electrical engineering and industry). Once a year the association uses a press conference to inform comprehensively and publish sales figures.
